Phew!

The folks at Sand: A Journal of Strange Tales have accepted my story 'Sneakers on Asphalt' for issue 4 due out in May 2009. I can now cease having panic attacks that I'll never get another acceptance - well for a week at least.

Cover Art Goodness

YAY! Strange Publications are publishing an anthology of the year’s stories – check out the cover art to the left. It will feature my story ‘Through the Warped Eye of Death’ which appeared in issue 2.

Plus, the same team are also behind 52 Stitches, which opened for submissions for flash fiction yesterday. They started my Sunday off in a good way by accepting my story ‘Nobody Smiling’.

Hoping to get at least 500 words done on ‘Theatre of Curious Acts’ later today if I get home in time – don’t want to miss my favourite Sunday night show at the moment – Stephen Fry in a taxi journeying across all of the United States states.

Oh, and I also got a 1 day rejection from Clarkesworld this morning – well if you don’t try. :)

Two Strange Tales

I'm having a very Happy Birthday and chocolates and presents are only half the reason.

Sand: A Journal of Strange Tales has accepted 'Through the Warped Eye of Death'. Woot, woot, woot! It will appear in the Fall issue - or if you're UK based like me, the Autumn issue.

I also today recieved Christopher Allan Death's edit of my story 'Dead Parachutes' due out in October in the BLOODY OCTOBER anthology.

It's going to be a good October.*

Through my warped eye.

I've finished my story Through the Warped Eye of Death and have submitted it to The Black Garden anthology. I spent half of yesterday trying to come up with a decent title. Okay, now for the really cheesy part. That is, what inspired me to write this... (Guidelines aside of course.) I hope I painted my story black enough.
