A Blue Easter

I can't send chocolate eggs through the post to all my wonderful blog buddies because a) the US postal service is likely to blow them up (apparently since 9/11 food stuff sent through the mail is suspicious), b) they'd melt as soon as they touched down in Australia and c) I've eaten most of the chocolate eggs already.

So, I thought I'd give you a different kind of Easter gift... Okay, it's a little bit unfair as it doesn't apply to all my blog buddies but I'm sure you don't care whatsoever.

Here's my Easter gift to you... The Verla Kay Children's Writers & Illustrators Board otherwise known as the BlueBoards. Trust me if you write MGs or YAs, as I know some of you do, it's an invaluable place to be a member of. It always lifts my spirits to read of book deals and people snagging wonderful agents and to know they were just like us... Plus there are tons of published MG & YA authors on the board and they give out tons of fabulous agent and publishing advice.

And for Carrie, Kim, Brenda, TKT & Erik (who are already Blueboarders) here's an Easter gift for you...

Have a great holiday. :-) I've eaten all my chocolate and need restocking.

Imagine my horror this morning when I arrived at the supermarket and discovered they'd sold all their Easter eggs. It may take me all weekend to get over the shock.

Happy Easter! I hope you find a new source for eggs (maybe half-price!).

I'll have to look over the BlueBoards. Sounds like fun!

Have a happy Easter. (Perhaps one of the best and first zombie stories ever told, right after Lazarus.)

Happy Easter.

The U.S. Postal Service likes to blow all sorts of things up, 9/11 or no 9/11.

Huzzah for the Happy Tree Friends!

The video is too funny and yes, for anyone not familiar with the blueboard, it is an amazing resource for those interested in YA writing.

I particularly like the John-Bonham-esque last one in the video. Amazing!

I ate chocolate too, but just because a friend left half a bag of Ghirardelli chocolate chips at my house this weekend. The hell was she thinking?!

Erik, it is, it is. Though I need to spend less time stalking. :)

I wish a friend had left some chocolate in my house. Maybe if I search really hard I'll find some. I've eaten all my eggs (bad Cate) and as far as I know the only chocolate left in the house is eggs I bought for my little cousins. Must not eat them...
