The hills are alive... With the sound of bloggers.

Why have I just clicked send and receive again? For about the fifth time in as many minutes, and I'm a) not expecting any mail, and b) not that popular (except with people who think I need a holiday, new car, viagra, or a loan etc).

One minute I'm in Word staring at the screen, trying to word the next sentence or figuring out where to go with the next paragraph, and the next I'm back on Writers' Dock or on my blog, or my favourite, sending and receiving. Then it's back to the WIP, to re-read the sentence that I've already read twenty times, and then back to the internet.

And as for control of my mouth - I have a nasty tendency of bursting into song (usually something from a musical) as if I was an extra in the musical episode of Buffy and everyone forgot to tell me they'd stopped filming.

Now what was it I was doing - oh yes, Once upon a poisoned apple...

I've got IEC (Incessant Email Checking, also known as OEC--Obsessive blahblahblah), too. Bursting into song--hey, me too! Even commercial jingles!

Not just me then :) - Perhaps I'm not as insane as I thought.

I think it helps that I do most of my writing in the wee hours. Most of my friends and such are asleep and there's not much happening on the Blue Boards.

I'll check anyway, remind myself that I'm not missing a thing and tuck in.

In the good old days when I had no internet access and used a word processor, I was about ten times more productive.

I think the internet is both a curse - timestealer - and a godsend - it keeps me in touch with all the other pre-published authors out there.

Keep up the good work, Thomas. :)
